My name is Ryan Bowen,

I'm in the job market and looking for a new role. If you're on this page, you were likely directed here by my resume or social media. So, I will use this as an opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself and would love to get to know you and more about what you are looking for.

I started my career in Linux with bash scripting creating scripts for various projects. This translated easily over to Windows PowerShell where I began automating tasks. Later in my career I started working with C# and Python, making web and forms applications in team environments. From there, I started working with cloud automation technologies such as terraform, DSC, ansible, and yaml pipelines. I regularly automate administration tasks that colleagues had thought was not possible. I am an AI Hobbyist and love to develop Tools and Applications that utilize new and exciting ways of using AI. My applications and infrastructure are built from the ground up. Throughout my entire career, I have worked in a progressively challenging environment for system and cloud, and I have no plans on stopping there!

Over the past 8 years I have rapidly gained insight into several technologies and methodologies over a wide array of disciplines of IT. I've been able to cherry pick the best and most efficient methodologies to build my ideal skill set for creating the most innovative, and efficient scripts and applications for cloud and system administration automations. Of course, this type of work has also given me intimate insight into the operations of Cloud and Operating Systems. One of the latest applications I’ve written has retrieved encrypted pipeline variables and exported them as pipeline artifacts. Another was a GUI tool that was used by support specialists that manage multiple Azure tenants for a managed service provider.

I have a great personality; some describe me as positive and uplifting. I am reserved and quiet, but I love to share my ideas, and work with colleagues. I believe that it is more important to listen than to speak, and to speak when it is most receptive. I’m also very detail oriented and creative. So, I’m not a salesperson, but I certainly can and have led teams. I do not smoke, or do drugs, and I rarely drink. We are all equal, no one person is better than another, we all have strengths and weaknesses. The best teams embrace this diversity and compensate for each other’s weaknesses with strengths.

What company would make a good fit for me? I thrive in an easy-going environment. I am super-efficient, and I do not require supervision. I am well suited for remote or hybrid positions. I have worked with all types of organizations, small to large companies, nonprofits to government. Each has its own pros and cons. I am currently open to any organization type, in any industry.

If I sound like I would be a good fit for this role, you should have no doubts about my ability, experience, and professionalism. I look forward to hearing from you, Thank you again for your time and consideration.

Action World News was a fun independent project I did. It is an automated YouTube Channel that generates content using AI and uploading daily content.
